Robert at Dinner

Just the obligatory eating dinner pictures of the baby.  The little dude is getting a bit big.

Yes, that is a smile on his face as he attempts to shove peas into his mouth.  He will have absolutely no part in anyone else feeding him. He must do it all on his own.  Rather stubborn one we have here.

Play Museum

We spent the day at the museum on Friday.  Yes, we are doing our best to keep busy lately.  Seems to make things go better that way.  Just wanted to share a few pictures.

Bowling

We are smack dab in the middle of another session of the bowling league. The kids are all enjoying themselves. The older boys have made tremendous progress and actually look like they know how to bowl. Far fewer gutter balls in their lanes lately. The younger kids are all slowly making progress towards bowling properly and not just tossing the ball down the lane or in front of them in hopes that it will hit a few pins and stay in the right lane. Yes, there have been a few cases where I have wondered if a child was trying to take sibling out with the bowling ball but overall, things are going well.

Views from the Afternoon

We took a walk after lunch today.  Katie rescued this snail from the road.

Here is where Robert spent the time this afternoon.  Does anyone recognize that hat from when Bryan was a baby?

Doesn't he look happy?  And comfy and warm?  The little dude usually hangs out for a while enjoying the scenery and yanking on my hair, then he konks out and take a nap on my back.

This is What Happens When You Have Boys

This is why I am so hoping the next babe is a girl.  A few days ago the boys dug a big hole in the yard. They were looking for buried treasure they said.  I said fill the hole back in but no one knows where the dirt has gone to.  So the hole became the place to play with monster trucks.  Last night it rained. This morning it rained. The hole became a gigantic mud puddle. When I shoved the kids out the door this afternoon with orders to go play, they decided to go retrieve the trucks from the mud.  That boot you see on the left side is supposed to be on Abby's foot. She fell into the puddle and lost her boot since she ran outside wearing Katie's boots and they are about 3 sizes too big.

Time Soldiers

I'm not sure why, but the kids have all fallen in love with these books.  The series somewhat reminds me of the Star Gate tv show but in book form for kids.  Yup, there is a time portal.  Yup, the kids dress in camo and fatigues.  Lot's of boy oriented action and I had a group of kids hanging over my shoulders trying to make sure not to miss a single thing while reading the books.  Since I brought the first book out, I've had at least one child reading it constantly.  If you have a boy who hates to read or who just is desperate for something new to read, check out the Time Soldiers series.  I promise you'll love them.
